Question 1178282: One kind of hard candy sells for $0.89 per kilogram. Another sells for $1.10 per kilogram. How many kilograms of each kind will need to be used for 30 kilograms of a mixture to sell for $0.96 per kilogram?
My answer is:
x = 20
30 - x = 30 - 20 = 10
Is my answer correct? If not, please provide the steps taken for solving this problem.
