If x be amount obtained by Chin.


Then Ram obtained (x+10) dollars, while Tom obtained ((x+1)+10) = (x+20) dollars.


The total is


    x + (x+10) + (x+20) = 90.


Simplify and solve for x


    3x + 30 = 90

    3x = 90 - 30 = 60  ============>  x = 60/3 = 20.


ANSWER.  Chin gets $20;  Ram gets #30  and Tom gets $40.

The difference between Tom and Ram is the same as the difference between Ram and Chin.

That makes the three amounts an arithmetic progression.

And that makes the middle amount the average of the three amounts: the middle amount is $90/3 = $30.

Then the two other amounts are $20 and $40.
