Two identical flasks are filled with mixtures of water and wine in the ratios 2:1 and 5:2 respectively. If both flasks are emptied in to a larger flask, then the ratio of water to wine in the resulting mixture is?

There is  of wine in the first flask and  of wine in the second flask.


Since the flasks have equal volumes, the larger flask will contain  =  =  volume of wine.
