Christina is selling an antique dining room furniture set through a broker. She wants to get $1500 for herself, but the broker gets 15% of the selling price as commission. What should the selling price be?

She gets 1500 after the broker got 15%. Let's call the total x:
x-0.15x= 1500 subtract on left
0.85x= 1500
x= 1764.71
