Question 968425: 2 tan^2 x +sec^2 x=2
Answer by lwsshak3(11628) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
2 tan^2 x +sec^2 x=2
2sin^2(x)+1=2cos^2(x)
2sin^2(x)+1=2(1-sin^2(x))
2sin^2(x)+1=2-2sin^2(x))
4sin^2(x)-1=0
(2sinx+1)(2sinx-1)=0
sinx=-1/2
x=210˚, 330˚
or
2sinx-1=0
sinx=1/2
x=30˚, 150˚
