Question 950693: 3, 1, -2 i need a polyniomial function that has given zeros
Answer by rothauserc(4718) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
we are given the following zeros, 3, 1, -2, then
(x-3)*(x-1)*(x+2) will give us the polynomial
(x-3)*(x-1)*(x+2) = (x^2-4x+3)*(x+2) = x^3 -2x^2 -5x +6
the graph of this polynomial shows us the zeros where it crosses the x axis
