Question:
2( x + 4 ) - 5( x - 3 ) = 32

Answer:

2( x + 4 ) - 5( x - 3 ) = 32

==> 2*x + 2* 4 - 5* x +5* 3 = 32

==> 2x + 8 - 5x + 15 = 32

==> -3x + 23 = 32

Subtract 23 from both sides..

==> -3x + 23 - 23 = 32 - 23

==> -3x = 9

Divide both sides by -3

==>

==> x = -3, which is the solution.

Hope you found the explanation useful.
