Question 92131: Find the perimeter and Area of a square with sides of 3 inches
Answer by anraymer(35) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
P=perimeter; A=area; s=side
Because it is a square, all the sides are the same length so you use the following equations:
P = 4s
A = 2s
s = 3 in.
Then, you plug in the numbers and solve:
P = 4(3)
P = 12 in.
A = 2(3)
A = 6 in.
