Answer by richwmiller(17219)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
a=2
b=6
1/a+1/b=1/x
1/2+1/6=1/x
1/2+1/6=1/1.5
1/x=1/1.5
x=1.5 hours working together
check
1/a+1/b=1/x
1/2+1/6=1/x
6/12+2/12=1/x
8/12=1/x
12/8=x
x=1.5
ok
