1) -3z < 12
when multiplying or dividing by a negative you flip the relationship sign
z > -4
2) 2z < -12
z < -6
we now can write the solution
z > -4 or z < -6
we can also write this in interval notation
(-4, +infinity) or (-infinity, -6)
