Question 85898: I need help please!!! The floor of the bakery is a rectangle that is 36 ft by 27 ft. The floor needs to be covered with tiles that are 3 ft by 3 ft. How many tiles do you need to cover the floor with no overlaps?
Answer by checkley75(3666)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
36 by 27 feet is the same as 12 by 9 yards for the floor area.
3 by 3 is 1 square yard for each of the tiles.
12*9=108 square yards.
Therefore it will take 108 1 square yard tiles to cover this floor.
