Arum travels for 11 hours.
Half of that is 5.5 hours.
For the first 5.5 hours, he travels at 10km/hr
Multiply 5.5 * 10 to get 55km
For the second 5.5 hours, he travels at 17km/hr
Multiply 5.5 * 17 to get 93.5km
Add the halves together
55 + 93.5 = 148.5km
