A 10Ω and a 20Ω resistances are connected in parallel, another resistance of 5Ω is connected in series with the two. If the supply voltage is 48V, what is the current through the 10Ω resistance?
-------
Total resistance = 10*20/(10+20) + 5 = 20/3 + 5 = 35/3 ohms
I thru the 5 ohm = 48/(35/3) = 144/35 amps
2/3 of I goes thru the 10 ohm R
= 96/35 amps
