separated by signs indicating addition.
According a very widely accepted old convention, addition and subtraction are the last operations we do when more than one operation is indicated (except as directed by parentheses).
Evaluating terms , and is straight forward.
Term is wrapped in parentheses for no good reason.
In this particular case, the expressions with and without those parentheses are equivalent.
However, I will pretend I don't know that and I will calculate what's inside the parentheses first.
is calculated by evaluating first and subtracting after that.
