Question 790673: -5x-14=2x+7
Answer by waynest(281)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
-5x - 14 = 2x + 7
-5x + 5x - 14 - 7 = 2x + 5x + 7 - 7
-14 - 7 = 2x + 5x
-21 = 7x
-21/7 = 7x/7
-3 = x
check:
-5(-3) - 14 = 2(-3) + 7
15 - 14 = -6 + 7
1 = 1
