Make x the subject
p= x+3/x
assume the problem is
p = %28x%2B3%29%2Fx; (not x+3%2Fx)
multiply both sides by x
px = x + 3
subtract x from both sides
px - x = 3
factor out x
x(p-1) = 3
divide both sides by (p-1)
x = 3%2F%28p-1%29
