The given equation is in GENERAL form

 7x+4y-12 = 0

 Get it into SLOPE-INTERCEPT form.

Isolate the term that contains y:

       4y = -7x+12

Divive every term through by 4:

        = x+

       y = x + 3

This is in the slope-intercept form, which is

       y = mx+b

where m is the slope and (0,b) is the y-intercept.

So is the slope and (0,3) is the y-intercept.
