Let the smaller even number be n.
Then the next consecutive even number is n+2
And the next odd number is n+2+1 = n+3
Sum = 161. This can now be expressed as the algebraic equation
n+n+2+n+3 = 161 or
3*n + 5 = 161 or
Solving for n
So the 3 numbers are 52, 54 and 55.
The greater even number is 54.
