Hi, I can give you the hints:
1. Substitute x = y + 50 into the first equation ( x + 2y = 200)
2. Solve for y
3. Substitute the found y -value into any equation to find x.
Best of luck ! John
Answer by rfer(16322) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
x=y+50
x+2y=200
-----------
y+50+2y=200
3y=200-50
y=150/3
y=50
-----------
x+2*50=200
x+100=200
x=200-100
x=100
(100,50)
---------------
x=y+50
100=50+50
