For this problem, it is easier to use the FOIL method. FOIL stands for [F]irst [O]uter [I]nner [L]ast

So, multiply the first terms of each pair together: A*a=a^2

Then multiply the outer terms: a*3=3a

Next multiply the inner terms: 3*a=3a

Lastly multiply the last terms: 3*3=9

Now add them all together:

a^2+3a+3a+9
a^2+6a+9
