Question 748447: 1 car travels 300 miles in the same amount of time it takes a second car traveling 5 miles per hour slower than the first to go 275 miles. what are the speeds of the cars?
Answer by nilan(17) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
let the speed of first car is x
then the speed of second car is x-5
then the time takes by the first car
time takes by the second car
as given that this two time are equal
so the speed of two cars are 60mph and 55mph
