Hi,
To find our slope, we must use the ordered pairs given to us and plug the into the formula y2-y1 over (divided by) x2-x1. The y2 and y1 indicate the two different y values from each point and the x2-x1 are the two different x values fro each point. So let's make (18,3) our first point and (-3,0) our second point. So our y2=0, our y1=3, our x2=-3 and our x1=18. When we plug our values into the formula, we will have 0-3 over -3-18. When we solve we get -3 over -21 which can be simplified to 1/7 by dividing the top and bottom by -3. So our final answer is that the slope of the line is 1/7. Hope this helps, let me know of any questions you may have.
