Question 742032: What is the slope and y-intercept for y=x+7
Answer by Ella_Meneauxpea(1) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The slope intercept form of a line is y = mx + b. in this equation slope is represented by "m" and the y intercept is represented by "b".
The line y = x + 7 has a value of 1 for m. The 1 is not written because 1 times x is equal to x. it is much simpler to just write x. Our value for b is 7. It is important to know that an intercept is actually a point on the graph. A y intercept is where the lane crosses the y axis on a coordinate plane. Since our b value is 7, we know that the y intercept is the point (0,7).
Slope = 1
Y intercept = (0,7)
