I am going to assume to accomplish this feat he will take the moped in the truck and then leave the truck behind. What he will do with a truck stuck 200 miles from the gas station I don't know.
Another way to look at it is that he must get back to the gas station so he can only drive till the gas is half gone.
fill the moped with 3 gallons and add 9 gallons to the truck.
we don't really know how much gas the truck had to begin with so the problem cannot be solved.
how will he measure the use of 9 gallons added to the truck? it can't be done exactly.
anyways he goes 4.5*20+ 1.5*100 so that he can get back to the gas station.
double that if he abandons the truck and moped when they run out of gas.
