Use the FOIL method to multiply: (4x + 2)(2x + 4)
Please illustrate how this problem is done. Thanks.

(4x + 2)(2x + 4)
4x * 2x = 8x^2
4x * 4 = 16x
2 * 2x = 4x
2 * 4 = 8

8x^2 + 16x + 4x + 8
Combine like terms:
16x + 4x = 20x

Answer:
8x^2 + 20x + 8
