these lines (a) X=-8 (b) Y=-9 (c) X=Y?
Answer by Alan3354(69443) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Find the slope if it exists of each of
these lines
(a) X=-8
That's a line thru (-8,0)
x = -8 for all values of y
It's parallel to the y-axis, so its slope is infinite, or undefined.
-----------
(b) Y=-9
It's parallel to the x-axis thru (-9,0)
y doesn't change, so slope = zero
-----------
(c) X=Y?
y = x
In slope-intercept form that's y = 1x + 0
slope = 1
