Question 715286: The sides of a triangle are indicated by 3x-4, 2x+5, and 3x+4. Give an expression for its perimeter
Answer by Simnepi(216)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
perimeter=sum of all side lengths
so we must add all the sides together!
so we have
perimeter=(3x-4)+(2x+5)+(3x+4)
removing the brackets gives
perimeter=3x-4+2x+5+3x+4
collecting 'like terms' we get
perimeter=3x+2x+3x-4+5+4
and simplifying this we have
perimeter=8x+5
