Question 713521: Tell whether the system has one solution, no solution, or infinite solution?
y=3x-14
y-x=10
Answer by srinivas.g(540) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
given equations y = 3x -14...................(1)
y-x = 10 ..................(2)
put y= 3x-14 in equation (2)
(3x-14) -x =10
3x-x-14 =10
2x-14 =10
add 14 on both sides
2x-14+14 =10+14
2x = 24
divide with 2 on both sides
2x/2 = 24/2
x= 12
so , y = 3(12)-14
=36-14
=22
x= 12 y= 22
