There are 60 cars in a race. There were 16 three-wheeled cars in the race. What percent of the cars were three-wheeled?

Divide 16 by 60. Round off appropriately. Move the decimal point two places to the right. Add a percent sign. Just as a sanity check on your answer, 15 is one-fourth, or 25% of 60.
