7x+5y=-12
3x-4y=1

Answer by checkley79(3341)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
7x+5y=-12 MULTIPLY BY 4
3x-4y=1 MULTIPLY BY 5 & ADD.
28X+20Y=-48
15X-20Y=5
---------------------
43X=-43
X=-43/43
X=-1 ANS.
7*-1+5Y=-12
-7+5Y=-12
5Y=-12+7
5Y=-5
Y=-5/5
Y=-1 ANS.
PROOF:
3*-1-4*1=1
-3+4=1
1=1
