My answer is t^2-t-6/t-3 and i would like to know how they factor to (t+2)

Answer by Simnepi(216)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
you are correct but you haven't finished!
factorise the numerator this gives
(t+2)(t-3)
(I've missed out a few steps, but if you need clarification ask me!)
Putting the fraction back together gives

looking at numerator and denominator they both contain the factor (t-3) which will cancel with each other. giving
which is just (t+2)
