3x=5+1
3x=6
divide both side by coeficient of x
3x/3=6/3
x=2
x>2.

They're the same as equations.
Add1
3x > 6
Divide by 3
x > 2

Multiplying by a negative number changes the polarity, tho.
eg:
-x > 2
x < -2
