Question 678792: Find all real and imaginary roots for the polynoial equation x^(2)+1=0.
Thank you!

Answer by jim_thompson5910(35256)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!

x^2 + 1 = 0

x^2 = -1

x = sqrt(-1) or x = -sqrt(-1)

x = i or x = -i

So the two solutions (which are imaginary/complex solutions) are: x = i or x = -i
