Answer by lenny460(1073)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
A garden is 28.3 width , 15.6 length
What is the area?
A=l x w
Why is the answer squared in my book?

I will assume that the width and length are in feet.
Therefore:
Area of a rectangle = length x width
15.6 * 28.3 = 441.48
The Answer is:
441.48 square feet.

Please note: The area will always be in square inches,
square feet, square miles, etc.
