Question 666766: A survey was taken of 100 people to determine their preferences for two breakfast cereals crisp and crunch. The people were asked if they had tried crisp or crunch or neither during the last month. In response, 50 had tried crisp, 40 tried crunch, and 20 had tried neither. The survey team now want to obtain additional information from this data. They would like to how many tried both brands, how many had tried crisp but not crunch. Please show work.

100 people: 50 had tried crisp, 40 tried crunch, and 20 had tried neither.
100 - 20 = 80
and (50+40) - 80 = 10 had both
how many had tried crisp but not crunch (50-10) = 40
