(x+5)/(x-5)=5
Multiply both sides by (x-5)
(x+5)=5(x-5)
x+5=5x-25
5+25=5x-x
30=4x
30/4=x
7 2/4 = x = 7 1/2
Proof
5 30/4 = 50/4
30/4 - 5 = 10/4
50/4 / 10/ 4 = 5
