Answer by ReadingBoosters(3246) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Starting with
12/5 + 3y = 6y - 1/10
Isolate y
12/5 + 3y - 3y + 1/10 = 6y - 3y - 1/10 + 1/10
12/5 + 1/10 = 6y - 3y
Create common denominators
12/5(2/2) + 1/10 = 3y
24/10 + 1/10 = 3y
25/10 = 3y
2 5/10 or 2 1/2 or 2.5 = 3y
25/10 /3 = 3y/3, which is the same as (25/10)(1/3)
25/30 = y
5/6 or .833 = y
