in this problem: ((x-2)^2(x+7))/((x-2)(x+7)(x-8)), i had to simplify the fraction, which i came up with ((x-2))/((x+7)(x-8))....now its asking me to find the common factor and rewrite the expression......i thought the common factor was x+7....but i'm not sure how to rewrite the expression. this is what i came up with: x+7x*-8,7x*-8,7x*-56,....please help me solve this

(x-2)^2(x+7)/(x-2)(x+7)(x-8) expanding the (x-2)^2 to (x-2)(x-2) we have
(x-2)(x-2)(x+7)/(x-2)(x+7)(x+8) now factor out the (x-2) & the (x+7) we have left
(x-2)/(x+8)
