SOLUTION: 4(y - 1/5)- y = 6(2-y)
4y-4 1/5 - y = 12 - 6y
4y - 21/5 - y = 12- 6y
5y - 21/5 = 12 - 6y
5y - 5y - 21/5 = 12 - 6y - 5y

Answer by solver91311(24713) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
4 times 1/5 is 4/5, not 4 1/5 (21/5).
4y - y is 3y, not 5y.
When you get to your fifth step, add 6x to both sides. Things are neater if the variable is in the LHS.
Fix those mistakes and then let me know if you still need help.

My calculator said it, I believe it, that settles it
