No, 0 is the only additive identity since 0+x = x and x+0 = x for all x

Basically, adding 0 to any number will NOT change that number.

An additive identity, , is a number such that . That means if you can find any number where , then 1 is NOT an additive identity.

By the way, how much importance should I place on the fact that you spelled "please" with 5 'a's? Does that make your question more important or higher priority than someone who only uses 2 or 3 'a's or, Mithra forbid!, spells it properly? Should your question be overlooked by someone who uses even more vowels?
