Find the sum of the two page numbers.
:
Let x = one page
then
(x+1) = the other page
:
The product
x(x+1) = 552
x^2 + x - 552 = 0
Factors to
(x+24)(x-23) = 0
the positive solution
x = 23 is the page on the left
and
24 is page on the right
