Question 636957: phase shift of y= cos (x- pi/4)
Answer by lwsshak3(11628) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
phase shift of y= cos (x- pi/4)
equation for cos function: Acos(Bx-C), A=amplitude, period=2π/B, Phase shift=C/B
For given equation:y=cos(x-pi/4)
B=1
C=π/4
phase shift=C/B=(π/4)/1=π/4 (shift to the right)
