The childrens tickets are 10 dollars a piece and the adult tickets are 12 dollars .You have a total of 280 dollars how many adults and how many children give us the number of people that went ? I'm really confuse as to how to solve this

The # of adults has to be a multiple of 5.

5A & 22C
10A & 16C
15A & 10C
20A & 4C
Any of those 5 answers will work.

You are confused because there are multiple answers.
5 Adults and 22 children would satisfy the problem, but so would
10 adults and 16 children or 15 adults and 10 children or 20 adults and 4 children.
