Question 604367: (1/x) = (x/9)
Answer by jim_thompson5910(35256)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Cross multiply to go from 1/x = x/9 to 9 = x^2 or x^2 = 9. From here, take the square root of both sides to get x = 3. Keep in mind that x = -3 works as well (since (-3)^2 = 9)

So the solutions are x = 3 or x = -3
