Question 597681: 6x+6y/y-x / 18/5x-5y

Answer by stanbon(75887)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
[(6x+6y)/(y-x)] / [18/(5x-5y)]
---------
= [(6(x+y))/(y-x)] / [18/(5(x-y))]
-----
Invert the denominator fraction and multiply to get:
-----
= [(x+y)/(-(x-y)] * [5(x-y)/3]
-----
= [5(x+y)]/(-3)
----
= (-5/3)(x+y)
