we can write it:
6(n-3) - 4n + 5 = 11
multiply what's inside the brackets
6n - 18 - 4n + 5 = 11
combine like terms
6n - 4n - 18 + 5 = 11
2n - 13 = 11
add 13 to both sides
2n = 11 + 13
2n = 24
divide both sides by 2
n = 24/2
n = 12

6(12-3)-4[12]+5=11
6(9) - 48 + 5 = 11
54 - 48 + 5 = 11
