Let
Larger Number = x
Smaller Number = y
Given
=====
The Difference Of Two Numbers is 26
x+y=26...........(1)
The Larger Number Is Eight More than twice The Smaller
x=2y+8.......(2)
Put the value of x from (2) to (1)
x+y=26
2y+8+y=26
3y+8=26
3y=26-8
3y=18
3y/3=18/3
y=6
Put the value of y in (2)
x=2y+8
x=2(6)+8
x=12+8
x=20
Larger Number = x = 20
Smaller Number = y = 6
