Question 554629: Given the function f(x)=3x-2 find the range for a domain of {-2,0,2,4}
Answer by jim_thompson5910(35256)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Plug each value from the domain into x and evaluate to get f(x).

For instance when x = -2, f(x) is f(-2) = 3(-2)-2 = -8. So when x = -2, f(x) = -8

Do the same for the rest of the values to get the range to be {-8, -2, 4, 10}
