Answer by mananth(16946)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
x^2-8x=20
x^-8x-20=0
Find the roots of the equation by quadratic formula

a= 1 ,b= -8 ,c= -20
b^2-4ac=
b^2-4ac= 64 - 80
b^2-4ac= 144
= 12

x1=( 8 + 12 )/ 2
x1= 10
x2=( 8 -12 ) / 2
x2= -2
