x+3y=16 and 2x-y=4,
Solve this using substitution.
------------------------------
y = 2x+4
---
Substitute and solve for "x":
x + 3(2x+4) = 16
x + 6x + 12 = 16
7x = 4
x = 4/7
==========
Solve for "y":
y = 2x+4
y = 2(4/7)+4
y = 8/7 + 4
--
y = 5 1/7
